OASI FOR YOUR BUSINESS, WITHOUT UNNECESSARY COMPLEXITY
OASI (Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance) is the first social insurance scheme to which your business must be affiliated. It finances retirement and survivors' pensions for your employees. As an employer, you deduct contributions from the salaries you pay and, together with us, ensure that they are correctly submitted.
YOUR ROLE AS AN EMPLOYER UNDER OASI
As soon as you hire your first employee, your business must be affiliated with a compensation fund. The fund collects OASI contributions from both you and your employees, calculates the amounts due, and then pays benefits to beneficiaries (retirement and survivors' pensions).
Your role is to deduct the employee contribution from each payslip, pay it together with your employer contribution, and notify us of every new hire and employee departure. This arrangement remains the same regardless of the size of your business, whether you employ one person or several dozen employees.

OUR FAQ – ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
Which part of an employee’s salary are OASI contributions calculated on?
They are calculated on the relevant salary, i.e. all income earned from employment (basic salary, bonuses, gratuities and benefits in kind). Certain payments, such as reimbursements for actual business expenses, are not subject to contributions.
How do I register a new employee?
Ask them for their OASI insurance certificate (which shows their 13-digit insurance number), then register them via our eServices or the relevant form. This ensures that contributions are calculated and invoiced correctly from their first salary payment.
When do I need to submit my annual salary declaration?
At the beginning of the following year, covering all salaries paid during the previous year. Our eServices allow you to prepare this declaration throughout the year by recording staff arrivals and departures as they occur.
