OASI ON YOUR PAYSLIP
Each month, part of your gross salary is deducted for OASI (Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance). Your employer pays this amount to our fund, together with an equivalent contribution. These contributions build up your future retirement pension, year after year.
YOUR OASI SITUATION
From 1 January following your 17th birthday, if you are employed, your employer deducts your contribution from your gross salary and pays it to our fund together with their own contribution. This obligation continues until you reach the reference age (65) and cease all gainful activity. Beyond that, an annual allowance may apply if you continue to work. You do not need to take any action regarding these contributions: they simply appear on your payslip, line by line, alongside the other social security deductions.

The overall rate of 10.6% is made up of three types of insurance, split equally between you and your employer.

|---|---|---|---|
OASI (Old-Age and Survivors' Insurance) | 8.7% | 4.35% | 4.35% |
DI (Disability Insurance) | 1.4% | 0.70% | 0.70% |
IC (Income Compensation) | 0.5% | 0.25% | 0.25% |
Total | 10.6% | 5.3% | 5.3% |
If you continue to work after reaching the reference age, an annual earnings allowance of CHF 1,400 per month (or CHF 16,800 per year) applies, unless you choose to waive it in order to continue increasing your pension.
OUR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I check that my contributions have been correctly recorded?
Yes. You can request an extract from your individual OASI account at any time to check that all your contribution years have been correctly recorded.
How do I apply for my OASI pension?
The pension is never paid out automatically. Please ask your employer (or our pension fund if you are no longer in employment) for the form at least 6 months before your chosen retirement date.
What happens if I change employer frequently?
There is nothing special to do: your contributions follow your personal AVS number, whatever your employer. All your years are accumulated on the same individual account.
