FAMILY ALLOWANCES, VALUABLE FINANCIAL SUPPORT

If you have one or more dependent children, you may be entitled to family allowances, fully funded by your employer and paid together with your salary.

YOUR ENTITLEMENT TO FAMILY ALLOWANCES

If you are employed in the canton of Vaud and have one or more dependent children, you are entitled to family allowances, paid by your employer together with your salary. You do not have to pay anything for this benefit: the contribution is fully funded by your employer, unlike OASI contributions, which are shared. The amount depends on the number of children and their situation (schooling, education, inability to work), according to a scale set by the Canton of Vaud and applicable to all employees in the canton.

  • Automatic entitlement
As soon as you have a dependent child.

  • No cost to you
    Fully funded by your employer.

  • Paid with your salary
    Directly on your payslip.

Our frequently asked questions

How do I apply for family allowances?

Submit an application to your employer together with the required supporting documents (for example, your family record book). Your employer will then forward it to our family allowance fund.

What happens if both parents work?

In principle, only one parent receives the benefits, in accordance with priority rules (employment in the child’s canton of residence, the higher amount, etc.). Please contact us if you are unsure about your situation.

Will my benefits continue if I change employers?

You must submit a new application to your new employer, who will forward it to their own family allowance fund.
